Очень философское произведение о человеческом самопознании. Не советую начитать знакомство с творчеством Вулф с этой книги, так как, возможно, читать будет не просто, потому что экшена здесь вообще нет, да и диалоги между героями тоже практически отсутствуют. Почти целиком произведение состоит из психологического анализа жизни героев. Советую к прочтению всем, кто интересуется модернистской литературой, потому что На маяк – «поток сознания» в чистом виде.

Не ожидайте сюжетных поворотов и драмы. «To the lighthouse» существует вне правил собственной реальности. Время в книге очень относительно, как и характеры персонажей. Не спешите формировать о них мнение. Вулф дает каждому из героев высказаться, чтобы читатель сформировал свое сложное и неоднозначное мнение.
Что касается издания, то к нему пылает абсолютная любовь. Надеюсь увидеть больше книг из этой серии в наличии.
