В книге отсутствуют примечания, нет перевода для фраз на французском/латыни/итальянском.
Английский язык здесь сравнительно лёгкий, но авторская любовь к подробным описаниям - техническим, обстановки, душевных состояний, жестокости к животным - убивает всё удовольствие от чтения, на мой взгляд.
Издание содержит не только характерные для По мрачные произведения, но и пару небольших юмористических вещей.
