хороший роман

Роман достаточно интимный. В нем всего шесть персонажей, которые ведут беседы и взаимодействуют друг с другом.

Проза автора действительно богата, изысканна и элегантна.
Действие происходит в вымышленном мире, но в пределах конца XIX - начала XX века, когда возник интерес к науке и натуралистическим исследованиям, в том числе и со стороны неординарных и бунтарских женщин. Нина - как раз такая личность. Она сделала эту книгу ценной для меня.

Остальные персонажи не всегда мне нравились, но финал романа приятен.

P.S. Хочу отметить, как читал эту книгу не носитель языка с уровнем B2+. Честно говоря, это было заметно сложно. Автор использует достаточно обширный словарный запас, и поначалу у меня на каждой странице было около десяти незнакомых слов. Впрочем, в книге всего 300 страниц, так что все возможно.
