The series «Treasures of Russian Medieval Art» is dedicated to the most magnificent examples of old Russian architecture and monumental art,dating from the 11 to the early 18 centuries. . .The authors collaborating on the project are well-known experts in the history of architecture and fine arts, as well as researchers working for local museums and galleries who have devoted many years to the study of these treasures. The books of the series, reflecting the modern scholarly approach to the art of old Rus, are also intended for the general public, interested in Russian history and culture. About 50 books of the series will be released in 2002-2003. .
