Extensive reading improves fluency and there is a real need in the ELT classroom for contemporary graded material that will motivate students to read. "Made in Dagenham" is based on the 2010 hit British film of the same name. It tells the inspiring true story of how, in 1968, a group of female machinists at the Ford car factory in Dagenham went on strike to fight for equal pay. Their protest succeeded in changing employment laws for women around the world.
