Joseph Thomas Sheridan Le Fanu was an Irish writer of Gothic novels, one of the most influential ghost story writers of the nineteenth century. "Ghost Stories of Chapelizod" is a collection of three brief mystical stories — "The Village Bully", "The Sextons Adventure" and "The Spectre Lovers" - set in the suburban village of Chapelizod.
